About the Robot Registry
The Rick’s Hobby Garage Robot Registry is a living archive of every robot created in the workshop. Each robot is a unique character, assembled from found and repurposed materials. Each one is given an identity, a story, and a purpose.
Every robot in the registry receives a unique sequential ID in the format RHG-R###. This ID is assigned when a robot is considered complete, marking its official activation. The ID, along with a NFC tag, connects the physical robot to its detailed registry entry online.
The registry organizes information into various sections. Key sections appear in every entry and include the robot’s name, ID, activation date, current assignment, materials, responsibilities, short story, and physical markings. Other sections, which appear when relevant, may include physical specifications, origin of the name, creator’s notes, special traits, and registry updates.
The purpose of the registry is to preserve the history, personality, and the last known location of each robot. Whether a robot remains in the workshop, travels to a new home, or is temporarily reassembled, the registry ensures that its story endures and is accessible to anyone who wishes to explore it.
By maintaining this registry, each robot becomes more than a creation – it becomes part of a shared universe where craftsmanship, curiosity, and storytelling are presented.
